Sports & Recreation

About this event

Lace up and show your support for our veterans at the 2026 Patriots Run, a 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Oak Point Park in Plano. Hosted by VFW Casey Joyce – Armistice Memorial Post 2195 and Plano Flags of Honor, this Veterans Day weekend event brings together runners, walkers, families and community members to honor those who have served our country. Whether you're chasing a personal best in the 5K or bringing the kids for the Fun Run, all ages and abilities are welcome.

Wear your red, white and blue and join us for a morning of patriotism, community and fitness in one of Plano's most beautiful parks. Stick around after the race! The free Safety Fair & Touch-a-Truck runs from 12 to 4 PM at the Red Tail Pavilion, with fire trucks, police vehicles, construction equipment and a Fire Truck Pull.
